Fenni

The Fenni are a shamanistic tribal society that inhabits northeastern Okhalia.

Religion

The Fenni are spiritually led by shamans. These shamans use several methods to enter a semi-conscious trance. In doing so, they enter what they believe to be the world where people go when they dream. This dream world is where the shaman communes with spirits to ask for boons or the alleviation of suffering. Common requests are for game animals to be released from the dream world into the physical world, for a sick person to be healed, or for strength in travelling or combat.

The shaman's trances are achieved through working naked in the freezing cold, rhythmically beating a decorated ritual drum, and eating a mind-altering mushroom.
