The Order of Xenoplanar Hunters

The Order of Xenoplanar Hunters is an order of The Assembly that is focused on homeland, material plane protection regarding defense against any and all xenoplanar entities that would seek to alter, corrupt, influence, attack, destroy or otherwise effect The Empire and its people. Utterly uncompromising in their mission, although flirting with the powers they swear to destroy in an effort to more effectively combat them, the Xenoplanar Hunters have had a long and storied and troubled history involving rogues, turncoats, the insane and mad gaining power in their ranks and all around troublesome activities. Despite these self sabotaging events and actions, those that can remain strong of mind and pure of spirit and body are without a doubt some of the most battle and soul hardened warriors the Empire can produce. Utterly unassailable by demonic, devil, or fey corruption and enchantment, supremely wise in the ways of their arch-enemies, masterful combatants and strategists against these foes that seek to pillage and feast off the Empire.    Valuable enemies if of sound mind, unfortunately the Order is cursed with those who fall victim to the worst predations of their enemies and become an enemy themselves. As such, the order has been mandated by the Setrakian High Council that after every mission a member of the Xenoplanar Hunters is to undergo full psycho-mana-scopic analysis and therapy, corruption diagnoses panel, ritual prayer and protective incense waved onto them and scripture read.    What happens though if this enforced rule is, well, not enforced? This perhaps is the working theory of what happened to the Xenoplanar hunters. Perhaps for the first time in their existence something that had rarely ever been recorded in the annals of Imperial history had occurred somehow. Slowly, insidiously, smartly. The corruption of an entire order. An unthinkable option, for surely the brave men and women of the Empire, the greatest amongst their numbers, the strongest, most resilient, most skilled... could they fall so far from grace?
