Rela Vys is the current president of The Underground, and the first elected not of human, elven, or dwarven heritage since Terra Urial. The 206th president of The Underground elected on 13th Fea, 1030, she has overseen new and exciting changes to her semi-sovereign state in the days, months, and years since she has been elected to office. Overseeing such changes such as the major construction of the Mana-Lev train network conceived by her previous office-holder Levan Arhet, an expansion of the Underground Militia Force (UMF), investment in the poor and downtrodden towns and hamlets of The Underground that had been for so long ignored by the capital government in New Setrak.
She increased spending in healthcare, medical accessibility, militia buildup, investment in small businesses, development of sewage stench reduction technology, and has personally overseen the growth and development of both Underground Firearms and The Hidden Fungus Tap & Distillery as key export and cultural products of The Underground.
Known as a hard negotiator with both The Empire itself but especially the Blackpath Coalition, the various potent and well known Wraths of the Empire such as The Nameless Ones, The Gold Hungry, and more, as well as being utterly uncompromising against heretics, demonic activity, and other forms of destabilizing activity, Rela Vys has been what some consider the greatest president since Terra Urial. Noted and greatly respected as not some mere puppet of the so called 'Surfies' and their government, the people of The Underground pride themselves on having elected Rela after the unmitigated disaster that was Charan Hekarhich.
She is an experienced politician having believed to have been trained by a list of rather less discriminatory Setrakian politicians such as members of the Setrak Lower City Guidance Committee (SLCGC), but more notably, members of the actual Setrak City Council such as famous members like Etran Erudas, Advisor for the Office of the Unclean, and Irina Harin, Councilor for the 132nd District of Setrak. Trained by these individuals it is no wonder she rose from relative namelessness to the primary candidate of the Underground Independence Front (UIF) party versus her Empire Allegiance Group (EAG) opponent, Anton Verad in the 1030 election. Beating him with a resounding 93% of the vote, it was assured she would be the next president of The Underground before election night had even halfway concluded. Greeting her opponent in front of the Presidential Palace in New Setrak after Charan Hekarhich had been summarily recalled, he shook her hand and conceded the election peacefully.

Rela Vys is known for being a product produced in the great Underground that so many of her similar people have grown up and been born into. She is a dyed in the wool, true believer, and utterly obsessed believer in that of Underground autonomy and has always been so. She was taught from a young age by a young and ailing father and mother that both suffering from the same illnesses that the then second term Charan Hekarhich had brought upon her family.
Her mother and father both inevitably succumbing to their myriad of diseases that the newly deregulated Underground had seen be cause in the recent years under the second term of the Charan Hekarhich presidency, the people themselves were rather upset with the way their democracy seemed to be going. Charan was a puppet that appeared only to exist to further Imperial interests and had been interested in turning The Underground into some sort of dark, sickening, never ending weapons factotry that would do nothing but produce weapons and armors as an endless task until the end of time.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Rela Vys is known mostly prior to her election as having been capable of consolidating so many disparate and ideologically different groups together to unite them to form one of the first truly consolidated Underground factions, the Underground Independence Group. While they may not not court that much political power, the secret, hidden, and laughed out of the room beliefs of this group are that perhaps a peace treaty could be reached with The Empire that might enable them to exist beyond the ruthless grasp of The Empire.
Otherwise, Rela Vys is known for her incredible presidential election campaign which saw she saw the wind that would ultimately elect her to public office, as ultimately she was revealed to be entirely surprised by the result of the election and entirely surpriced she had been elected president of The Underground.
