Mes Ya, Founder of the Church

The Word of Harbinger, The Great Proselytizer, Faith Incarnate, Ultimate Believer, The Chosen, The Believer, and many more Mes Ya (a.k.a. Faith Incarnate, Ultimate Believer, the High Priestess of Hate, Otheran High Priestess, and much more)

Mes Ya, also known as the Great Proselytizer, Faith Incarnate, Ultimate Believer, Mes Ya the Chosen, and many more is storied to be the initial founder, believer, and ultimately the first religious leader of the Church (Cult) of Harbinger in those early days of The Empire. She is credited with the efforts of converting, brainwashing, manipulating, or otherwise altering the beliefs of those of the Old World to change from their old, impetuous ways to that of the new order, that of the belief in Harbinger, God of Hate, Lord of Conquest, Slayer of Divinities, Master of War, Conqueror of the Seven Continents, Teller of Truths, Dispeller of Delusion, and many more titles that Harbinger has been known by.   Mes Ya was a self proclaimed Otheran and is known to have first proclaimed himself proudly to be as such, stating that the normal mortal mind could not and would not accept their true origin, so they were simply, as those of the material plane would always see them, as those of the 'Other'. Indeed he was correct, for the name quickly caught on amongst both those loyal to Harbinger and the desperately forming resistances that were as quickly being overrun as they were forming.   A woman of immense faith, Imperial scholars have speculated that she must have began her life in The Other and witnessed the horrors wrought by divinity that Harbinger himself has. As such, the two were residents of the same world at the same time and experienced the same thing. This has led to increased speculation amongst the most esoteric and deeply knowledgeable scholars to suggest that perhaps before or during the events of The Other that would drive Harbinger to invade the Material Plane, the two had known each other. Garnered quotes from Harbinger over the years have created an impression that perhaps the two had something more than simply an alliance of conveniance and faith, and perhaps had something more romantic.   Regardless, Mes Ya remains a highly respected figure in Imperial theology and history, known as the first person to truly spread and inflict the Creed of Harbinger upon the non-believers. A cleric, a cultist, a priest, a worshipper, she is known through many lenses of Imperial scholarly analysis. To those of the Church itself she is known as nothing less than a divine avatar who helped establish their order.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Mes Ya is believed to have been born at an era in which Harbinger himself would have been active. Imperial historians and scholars focus on more the origin of their lord god Harbinger than they do spend time on Mes Ya herself. It is believed via simple logic that she survived the events of whatever went on beyond the veil, and emerged into the Material Plane as a changed woman, capable of influencing, converting, and genuinely convincing many of those of the Old World that Harbinger's ideals and viewset was that that truly deserved to govern the Material Plane.   She was in no small part instrumental to the societal and cultural collpase and subjugation of not only Jarentasar, but the entire Material Plane. Expertly spreading her belliefs amongst numerous new acolytes and believers as they would grow the belief in Harbinger.   After the war passed, Mes Ya continued her religious conversion affairs without end, and would seek to convert any and all she could. There was no innocent or ignorant former worshippers of the false gods under her watch. No, it was a watch of brutality and slaughter alone as she determined who and who should not live based on their religious status.

Education

Mes Ya was believed to be educated in The Other, like many of those that emerged on those hallowed mountains with Harbinger.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Mes Ya is credited with the foundation of the basic elements of the Church of Harbinger, as well as the conversion of innumerable, countless hordes of fanatical zealots to their cause from their once sad existence worshipping gods that did not care for them.    She is credited with the peaceful conversion of an entire city on the eve of battle with merely a moving speech that is said to have moved the hearts and minds of all the defenders of the city. Those that resisted were cut down without mercy and the gates were thrown open to welcome inside their new god and his glorious forces.   Furthermore she is known with overseeing and directing the creation and completion of both The Hallowed Walk and The Hallowed City.

Intellectual Characteristics

Mes Ya was known to bear a keen intellect regarding others and the manipulation, convincing, and influencing of other individuals. She was a master of charisma and persuasion as well as intimidation, no one was above her guide.

Morality & Philosophy

Mes Ya operated a very loyal morality and philosophy. It seems whatever she endured in The Other caused her to become fanatically loyal, obsessed, with Harbinger and his crusade to enlighten and free Meria of the yoke of the gods that they had placed upon all mortals. She was unmoving, unblinking in the belief that in order to create the perfect world, all gods must die.   She had a philosophy of the strong thrive and dominate, while the weak bend the knee or die. This was more or less at a highly simplified level, her main pitch to convince people to turn. Of course there was fanciful language, religious proselytizing and more but she believed that those who were worthy of serving her master would know. Those who were not, would die.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Mes Ya seemed to be just as fanatical and devoted in her belief that all gods must die to create a perfect world, much like her god. This was her explicit motivation in doing what she was doing, was to create a better world that she truly believed in.
