A'akaro Yvsa, Fallen Hero

The Last Hero, The Last General, The Savior, The Messiah, Telnir Amasa, the Final Basation, Hope Incarnate, Demi-God of Mercy, The Unhateful A'akaro Helem Yvsa

A'akaro Yvsa, the Last Hero, the Great Fool, the Last General, The Savior, The Messiah, Telnir Amasa, the Final Basation, Hope Incarnate, Demi-God of Mercy, The Unhateful, and many more was and now is a globally renowned figure as the final greatest champion of Meria in the War of Consolidation. A champion of the old, dead god of justice and mercy, Bahamut, A'akaro would come into the forefront as one of the final remaining major champions of the old gods during the War of Consolidation. By pure chance, many of the others had been killed off and essentially only he remained in those final hard, brutal years.   Leading the defense of The Last Alliance, an alliance comprised of the nations of Althia, Turas, and Jinsa, A'akaro would coordinate the defenses and offenses of these great nations with expert precision guided by his god as much as he could through the ever strengthening Aegis.   The nations/houses that comprised this final great alliance were:   In Althia: Loriin, House Morgana   In Turas: Enteral, The Duchy of Ramsales, The Empire of Perdan, Vyrishtar, Nekaltadar, and more smaller nations.   In Jinsa: The Holy Empire of Magdalera and various other small client states.   Yet despite the combined efforts of these powerful nations, it was not enough to resist Harbinger. A'akaro would do his best to stem the flow and losses that followed in every battle, but it simply was not enough. The world had not recognized the threat soon enough, and all seemed to be lost. Until the final battle upon the Golden Plains of South Turas. There itself presented an opportunity, A'akaro could take to the field personally and having once dueled Harbinger, for The Final Battle, surely the Lord of Hate would take to the field. Harbinger did just that, and so the pair dueled in a legendary duel known as The Last Duel. For time itself seemed to slow, the battle seemed to stop as onlookers gazed with mesmerized eyes as the two lords of both armies fought one another.   Sadly, Harbinger proved too great a match for the Guardian of Meria, The Champion of Bahamut, the Lord of Mercy. Harbinger would strike him down, impaling him upon his own sword. It is said that the words A'akaro Yvsa would have last heard were.   "Behold your champion! Watch him die," Harbinger would spit out, lifting the final great hope of Meria upon his own blade into the air, before casting him into one of the apocalpytic sized rifts in the earth that had formed during the battle and their duel. And that, was the last anyone ever saw of A'akaor Yvsa, the Great Fool. For he could not hate, he could not despise, he could not revile. And that was his weakness for it is widely recorded that Harbinger had taunted the paladin before his demise.   "Would you have hated me, desired to kill me utterly and outright, despise me, revile me, you would have obtained a power beyond my own. But you did not. You have principle, you have your faith. I do hold respect for it, but I recognize it for the weakness it is."   And so the legend of A'akaro Yvsa would forever be framed as one of weakness and cowardice, afraid to truly commit to the power he had inside of him, and too weak or foolish to recognize he had already lost, committing so many more countless to die instead of realizing he had lost already. The Great Fool. That was his title now in this new world that Harbinger created. So the legend of A'akaro would be told, passed down from generation to generation as so, remarking him as a fool who could not commit to hatred, no more capable of realizing he was lost.   Yet now... it seems his death, was not so certain. For the Last Hero yet walks.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A'akaro is generally very fit with a standard build albeit a bit taller than usual. He is rather muscular but not overtly so. He is afflicted with a strange illness/curse that has resulted in his own sword being magically implanted inside a cavity in his chest. Along with this, his access to magic and casting it is limited and harms him if he does so.

Body Features

On his bare chest there is a strange, circular black void that he may reach inside of and begin to pull out the sword that Harbinger cursed to be held inside of his body. Aside from this he bears a small vertical scar over his left eye.

Facial Features

A'akaro's facial features are normal but striking. He has a rather sharp jawline, and a nose that is straight and ends in a sharper point than most. His face in general is a regal, noble, yet warrior like demeanor and construction with eyes that are set squarely and beam with a stark, ice blue.

Identifying Characteristics

Some of A'akaro's identifying features are now the cursed void on his chest, his ice blue eyes, his draconic tattoo on his back depicting a dragon in flight, and his scar over his right eye.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

A'akaro's personal history is not entirely understood or known due to his obvious lack of presence in the modern day Empire. It is believed he grew up in the Age of Empires, the period before which Harbinger arrived and began his crusade of consolidation upon Meria. Aside from this there is not much information that is available to easily access.    While his early history is not entirely well understood, his later history regarding the War of Consolidation is. After the first five years of the ten that the War of Consolidation took, he is known to have risen to prominence amongst the resistant and defending forces of the Material Plane as many prominent and powerful generals fell in battle both divinely connected and simply brilliant in the art of field battle planning. Mages guilds were wiped out, even evil cults of gods utterly annihilated before anyone could react. Soon the realization dawned upon all that if they did not rally their forces, there would be no world to ever fight over again. It would be a world placed under the jackboot of a tyrannical god-king and his brutal overseers. The Immortals and their cultists hordes swept through swathes of land unkempt, unstoppable, entire towns abandoned by civilian and military unit alike to rally in the major cities there moerso stood a chance.    Despite this, regardless of the personal stragegy, all seemed to fall. Ever back, ever closer to their personal bastions. Yet A'akaro never owuld give in, he never would concede. And the Final Battle would come, the Final Battle of Meria, or the Final Battle of Consolidation as it also called. A'akaro would not back down and would not relent upon his defenses for each and every city until evenetually there was only one line left, one final defensive line, known as The Holy Line. Reinforced by all of the final nations of the world upon southern Turas, the hope was that an opening Harbinger's attack with him present could be open that the God of Hate could be defeated, struck down, and the world reclaimed.   Yet never was there to be such an outcome, as the two would duel upon the Golden Plains and ultimately, A'akaro would fall as he would be cast into the great abyss that lie before them, defeated and presumed dead as he plunged into the great blackness before Harbinger.

Accomplishments & Achievements

A'karo achieved many things in his short tenure as The Last General of Meria. He united multiple continents and more Empires, Nations, and other Sovereign Bodies that had ever been brought together until that point unto one body. The Last Alliance was an impressive achievment. Against a more normal, weaker foe it would have utterly repelled and crushed the enemy in tide of bodies, yet Harbinger simply had more. He had greater numbers, greater warriors, greater powers.   Another of A'akaro's achievements was the duel in Jinsa that would see Harbinger permanently injured. An immensely powerful blast, a smite of untold caliber was delivered and had it had fully landed would have stricken down the God of Hate for good, yet his senses were too sharp and he dodged at the last possible second, only a fragment of one shoulder pauldron being shorn off, that fragment of Harbinger's own armor being lost to record and location, perhaps a lead as to how one might defeat the God of Hate himself.

Failures & Embarrassments

The greatest of A'akaro's failures is the defeat at the Duel of Time. He was defeated in this grand duel by Harbinger himself and would never get the chance to defend or even avenge his world in short order as he was plunged into the deep abyss beyond all reach, believed to be dead or condemned to an eternity of suffering. This ultimate failure and his title of The Great Fool have branded him a laughingstock and warning to those who might think to rebel against The Empire, and Harbinger as well.

Mental Trauma

A'akaro bears the mental trauma of witnessing essentially all of his friends perish in combat. A sense of pervasive survivor's guilt is embedded into essentially every fiber of his being, and he bears a shame and guilt for the failure to protect his world that cannot be fully described. Despite his noble exterior, he is an emotional wreck, and sees his still living as a final last punishment delivered to him from the gods. Cursed to wander for all time the twisted, sickly visage of the world he had once called home.

Intellectual Characteristics

A'akaro is noted as being rather intelligent, most of his intellect focused in history, speaking, battle doctrine and strategy, as well as general ruling and leading.

Morality & Philosophy

A'akaro fundamentally is a good person. He believes that hate and destruction have no place in the world and as such makes it his goal to preserve life, guard the innocent, protect the weak, and destroy those beyond redemption. He is no pacifist, and is a greatly skilled warrior beyond many. Although with his current curse, he has been lowered in capability due to his weakened point.   He believes in the fundamental good in all beings and that anyone, no matter what they have done, can repent and change for the better. He believes that all people exist for a purpose that is divinely ordained and there is great honor in that purpose, though this belief specifically has been challenged with the world of Meria as it stands now.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

A'akaro is driven to action by the belief in justice, rule of law, goodness, and the protection of others. He is driven by an intense desire to do the right thing, to protect those who cannot protect themsleves, to prosecute the unrepentant evil, and to rehabiltate the sorrowful and repentent sinners.    He truly believes in the good in all people, and always gives someone a chance before he must make a choice and move down a permanent course of action. He does not, and some say cannot feel hate or hate anything.

Virtues & Personality perks

A staunch and loyal ally until the very end, A'akaro is someone that if you obtain his trust, respect, and friendship, he will walk through hell to protect you and be by your side no matter what as long as you are good and true.

Vices & Personality flaws

A'akaro can be somewhat too forgiving at times, causing wrongdoers to have second chances that have resulted in that sinner not learning, and returning to their evil ways only to cause even more chaos and destruction.

Representation & Legacy

A'akaro's legacy upon the world of Meria and The Empire itself was one of derision, hatred, mockery, and a story of hubris of resisting Harbinger. Taught in schools as The Great Fool, his story and life are somewhat retold if not greatly warped and disingenuous to students who learn his great folly and how it ultimately lead to his downfall and death.
