The Hidden Hand

The Hidden Hand is a rebel force that is strongly opposed ideologically to that of the tenets of The Empire and its faith. A reportedly small but troublesome group of upstarts that have formed some sort of psuedo-militia, they have created issues for The Empire and its subjects for quite some time. Having emerged from out of nowhere seemingly suddenly around the year of 1020 PFE, The Hidden Hand has been a consistent but not overbearing anti-Imperial faction. Operating extremely subtely with little to no outward action, and if so, never claiming responsibility for attacks, kidnappings, or even rarer actions such as raids upon convoys, assassinations, and more. Seemingly adopting a strategy of absolute invisibility through lack of obvious action and enforced culture of no heroism, ego, and such, The Hidden Hand has remained a quiet, small, rather low priority group that seems to be lost amongst the administrative buearacratic hell that is the many layers and goings ons of Setrak's government.   With very few members being caught, a noteable feature of all Hidden Hand operatives is displayed every time they are apprehended and seems to bypass even the best efforts of The Empire. Seemingly at will, the operatives of The Hidden Hand can disintegrate themselves in a flash of radiant light, some sort of poison pill to prevent information being extracted. This has unfortunately worked every time and even some of the smartest traps and actions have failed to prevent this ability from firing. Should it be successfully thwarted though, it could provide invaluable information for who exactly they are and what exactly they want. Although certain information has been gathered and caught after some rare mistakes by the operatives of this shadowy group that seem to hint that they serve a 'good and just cause' like all who claim the same, preaching of justice, morality, faith, etc. A crackpot of gibberish lent out by fools and charlatans. Some of the greatest information gathered has come through the title of their leader. 'The Silver Handed'. This name in combination with some other research, consulting the great tomes of history, some forbidden and some accepted in the halls of The Eye and The Assembly, it is believed this group is some form of heretical cult to the false god Torm.
