That town... it brings into such stark reality how privileged I am to have been born to the parents I was born to. Tieflings, Aasimar, and other non-human species being treated with such disdain, hatred, and bias. It is clear that this is what awaits me if people were to know my secret. And even other humans are not safe; the Harbinger and his ilk have made the downtrodden turn on each other, in order to keep them under their thumb.
Our uneasy alliance with Harin is also frustrating. He could do so much good for people in his position; yet I think he only used that power to help because we were there. The only bright spot in this otherwise dreary world is Laeli, Zephyros, and Camiel. They were so quick to act on behalf of those who were in distress today, even to aid the sinner; I am shamed next to them. My fear of being discovered has bound me from being able to act freely, I feel. I have so much to lose - my family, my business, my life. What would happen if Harin found out? He will know who I am, publicly at least, soon enough. Maybe he already knows. I can't help but see the burning of the sinner, and the ashes of the accused witch in my mind. Is that to be my fate?
Laeli has proven to be more than I was told she was in our fight today. I was so proud of her, all of her skittishness fled as soon as she went into battle mode! And my sassy little Zephyros, I do love that fearlessness! Camiel is still just as quiet and reserved as always, but proved himself in battle today too. This is good; tomorrow we go back to that damnable town, and then we head to the Black Fortress. Who knows what fresh hell awaits us there.

Well I'll be gods damned. A simple reconnaissance mission, "go watch and report back" type of simple, and now somehow I have been conscripted into serving as an inquisitor's guard. Three others have been conscripted with me. The thing is, this inquisitor isn't what I expected. He had the same experience we did at the cave; he has good reason to want to keep us close. But can we really trust him? He seems almost... human. But he is an inquisitor, and he shrugs off the horrible things that the inquisition has done to innocent people. How can he be ok with these horrendous acts?
And what was that we saw at the cave - a vision? Was it the present, the future?
Holy shit Laeli has Mis'lathran??? Holy shit balls!
