Session 44 - "Tiny Monsters"

The start of this session is pretty much just an opportunity to explore the city. Give them some time to look around, buy stuff, get settled at an inn. They can hear gossip about the kobolds that have sometimes attacked travelers on the road, but withdraw whenever the travelers fight back. It's almost as if they're testing people.

As they do so, they come up against a problem: nine swarms of rats burst out of a sewer grate, followed by Angela Zamir, a halfling druid. She proclaims that the store Xavier's Tonics in the Grand Felicity, run by her brother Xavier, is in fact polluting the Albus River. This is not true, for the record, and they will either have to convince her or fight her.

If they kill her rats, she will not be happy about it.

If given the opportunity, Xavier will explain that his sister used to be a part of the city guard, but got lost in the jungle for a bit and went... a bit mad. She's mostly harmless, really.

Other Incidents, If There's Time

Ambrose wants to meet with his aunt, another Black Rose. She will tell him that Solon Domitius (doh-MEH-shuss) in Honestas has extended an invitation to Ambrose to join his staff. She fears that this is just a way to bring the Praxidice to heel once and for all. After all, his brother already serves as one of Domitius's personal guard.
