Early Life: Erato

Erato was the first child of a very young, poor couple. Their parents were childhood sweethearts who rushed into marriage as soon as they could. Their father, Henry, was a dreamer, head in the clouds, song in his heart, while their mother, Serenity, was a realist. She took labor intensive jobs she could find in the city, usually only lasting a few seasons, while Henry made money performing. After the couple’s second child was born, Henry decided to leave the city in search of better earnings, promising to send money back. He’d be gone for seasons at a time, coming back with coins and then leaving when it ran out. 

When Erato was 10 and Serenity was pregnant with her third child, the world came crashing down. A young half elf woman who worked as a bartender at a seedier establishment in the city came knocking on Serenity’s door. Etoile told them her tale: Henry had often come into the tavern during his time in the city, boasting of his adventures and tipping generously. She had built a rapport with Henry, who never revealed that he was married. Only after they ended up in bed together was Etoile told that Henry was married. She immediately tracked serenity down to reveal Henry’s infidelity. 

The two women threw Henry out of the small abode, and word spread about the man’s behavior. Henry ran from the city, and as legend has it, has never returned. Serenity’s youngest child and Etoile’s twins were born 4 months apart, so those children became “The Triplets”. Within another few months, another woman showed up at Serenity’s door, claiming to be an adventurer that knew Henry, and carrying a 4 year old child. The three women considered the situation and came to the conclusion that it would be easier to raise the many siblings together rather than try and go it alone. 

Adolescent/Young Adult: Alkimos

As they grew, Erato became Alkimos. They were the oldest child of this ragtag family, and they took the job seriously. They worked, stole, and swindled for whatever their siblings wanted or needed. A precocious kid can get away with a lot, including swiping the jewels off your fingers, but a preteen may take a hit or two when found out. Alki became a scrappy fighter, knowing how to read a space and make an opening for themselves.

When the black powder boom hit Karasi, an influx of new people meant new types of work and schemes. Teen-aged Alki found work as security and navigator of the city for incoming researchers. They improved in power and Technique as they continued in that line of work. 

Current: Alimony

After all of their Siblings were old enough to either be set on their path of beginning their vocations, Alimony took up their most recent mantle. They Acquired armor and a sword with their modest wages and occasionally by the generosity of their employers. Their goal now is  to go out and track down Henry Avon. What will happen then? Ali thinks they want to demand recompense, to make him suffer, or just to see his guilt. But when it comes down to it, they’re not sure. They just want closure.

15. Ali’s Full Brother. One of the “Triplets”. Takes after his mother the most out of his siblings. A very bright and distactable young man. Has begun a trade apprenticeship, probably in some tinkering/artificing.
