Father's Hill
Father’s Hill is a modest but ancient Andal castle nestled in the rolling green slopes of the Mother’s Valley, within the Andalos Hills of central Essos. Built of weathered gray stone and partially ruined in parts, the keep overlooks a patchwork of farms and villages where smallfolk from Westeros have come seeking peace and purpose. Once a forgotten relic of the First Andal Migration, the castle has been reclaimed by the Paladin Order of the Seven and now stands as the northernmost outpost of the ongoing Andal Crusades.
Life in Father’s Hill has been marked by quiet diligence and faith. The crimson-and-gold banners of the Paladin Order hang proudly from its towers, and the sound of hammer on anvil echoes from the forges where arms and armor are made. Knights train on the hilltop fields, and shepherds tend flocks beneath the gaze of snow-capped peaks. The region, north of Pentos and just south of New Braavos, has seen a rare decade of stability.
But that peace is fragile. To the southeast, a Dothraki horde grows bolder beyond Norvos. To the north, the Rax Imperial Family tightens its grip on New Braavos and eyes the Westerosi settlers with suspicion. The faithful of Father’s Hill may soon find themselves at the edge of a coming storm—caught between fire, horse, and steel.
