It's the late spring of the year 4428. The Achemenid Empire has fallen seven years ago and Aléxandors of Macedon, a young and stubborn greek king, has just returned to Babylon after his unstoppable military campaign that led him to conquer everything from the industrious ports of Hellas to the rocky shores of the Indus river.   The new Empire is the largest that mankind has ever dared to imagine, ripe with eterogeneous cultures, languages and religions: political and social tensions are inevitables as those people that were defeated and subjugated by Alexandros have little love for the new greek aristocracy that replaced the old ruling class, and even the greek generals themselves look with suspicion at their ruler's integration policy.   In this torrid and arid spring Babylon is more energetic than ever, as droves of merchants, priests, athletes and soldiers flow in and out of the city to attend the Great Games Alexandros himself wanted to commemorate the recent death of his beloved friend Hephaestion, or maybe just to seek the favor of the most powerful man in the world.   One man that was able to accomplish feats everybody else deemed impossible.   Some say his intellect and determination alone could bend even the will of the Gods.   Others know that the Gods cannot be bent.
