The Al'Akra

The Al'Akra desert seems as old and untameable as the laws of time, though there are records from Gallacian times that indicate that this may not have always been so. Tales and tomes tell of a green land, dedicated to the production of all manners of goods, home to great cities and civilisations ruled by the Gallacians, friends to all who came with an open hand. Others still tell of a great ocean that once filled that region and slowly began to dry before the eyes of a hundred generations.
  Then again, it was the Gallacians who wrote these documents, so their reliability, is, at best, tenuous. In truth, its anybody's guess or life's work to uncover what really happened.
