Copperdeep

Copperdeep is an underground kingdom of dwarves. Rich in copper and other metals, the dwarves have constructed a near-impenetrable stronghold to guard themselves from threats both from above and below. The kingdom has been ruled by the same dynasty for close to a thousand years, and has some of the best preserved historical records on Medina. Copperdeep has always been very isolationist in its relationships with the surface world, but the past century saw a remarkable uptick in trade and cultural exchange. The chief reason of this the Glodson Clan, whom have instructed their members to spread out and settle the surface. This has deeply upset traditionalist, but the Glodsons' vast wealth and close familial connection to the low king have protecting them from most attempts at retaliation.   Although more open now than a century ago, Copperdeep is still very distrustfull of outsiders. Few non-dwarves are permitted entrance into Copperdeep without a recommendation from a dwarven clan.
