The Etherium, also called the Etherial Plane, is a hazy reflection of the material plane, where distances and time are not absolute, and it is almost impossible to navigate. It is possible to see easily from Etherium to Materia, but nearly impossible to see Etherium from Materia. Etherium is the easiest plane to pass into or out of from the Material.   The Etherium can be split into two general areas, the Border Ethereal and the Deep Ethereal.

The Border Etherial

The Border Etherial is the area you first arrive in whenever you travel to the Ethereal Plane from the Material. Time passes mostly normally here, and you can see what is happening in the Material plane within 30 ft around you. Yet from the corner of your eye, you can always see the deep fog of the Deep Etherial.

The Deep Etherial

The Deep Etherial is an endless fog where navigation and time are next to impossible without magical intervention. You cannot see more than 30 ft in any direction, and the terrain only vaguely resembles its counterpart on the Material. Ocassionally, out of the fog visions of dreams and memories will appear, their original owners unclear. In the deepest parts of the Deep Etherial, you can find the Palace of Thieves, home of Hije.

The Palace of Thieves

The Palace of Thieves is a gaudy affair filled with the stolen loot of Hije. It is impossible to find unless Hije wants you to find it, which usually only happens when you bring stolen loot to gift to him.
