Abyssinia
The Goddess of Demons, Abyssinia is the protector at the gate, who prevents demonkind from entering into Materia. She has laid claim over the Planes of the Abyss that can interact with the planar system of Materia, and the demons that live within them, and fights a constant war with the Demon Lords to prevent them gaining any ground into the world she has vowed to protect.
She is greatly revered by the native peoples of Materia for her sacrifice to protect the world, and is often called Abyssinia the Protector.
