The Sirta Foundation is a human biomedical non-profit organization renowned for its humanitarian efforts and groundbreaking research into genetics. Founded in 2149 CE on Luna, the lone moon of Earth, Sirta has since become the largest name in civilian and military sector biomed tech in the galaxy. The Sirta Foundation made its fortune eliminating several genetic diseases endemic to human populations which are now nearly unheard of due to their efforts. However, Sirta is best known for having created the ubiquitous MediGel, which, while technically illegal under Council law, is far too useful to ban.
