Alamo-class Fast Attack Destroyer
Named for the Battle of The Alamo in human history and serving the Systems Alliance Navy as its premier 'lightning strike' ship, the Alamo-class was designed to carry enough firepower to gut larger ships while maintaining the maneuverability of a light frigate. They often operate in 'wolf pack' formations, and strike rapidly in close range. Heavy weaponry and high-powered thrusters provide the Alamo-class with nigh-unmatched firepower and speed, though its armor is thinner than most Alliance vessels, and its kinetic barriers are weaker than is typical of an Alliance military vessel.
