Watcher's Roost
Watcher’s Roost
• Role: Lookout and shadow-port.
• Appearance: Towering cliffs crowned with a lighthouse whose black-green fire burns against the night. Massive serpent and jaguar statues loom at the harbor’s mouth.
• Economy & Life: Officially, it is a naval watchpoint. Unofficially, it thrives on smuggling and secret trade. Mercenaries and spies drink in its taverns, their voices low.
• Atmosphere: Tense and watchful — every shadow could be a smuggler, every wave a signal fire’s trigger. The statues seem almost alive, ready to leap into the sea.
• Symbolism: The serpent strikes from hiding, the jaguar watches in silence — nothing passes the Roost unseen.
