Appearance

The Silver Roar is a war horn carved from the rib of the White Lion Founder, bound in silver and etched with the patterns of snow-laden winds. When sounded, its tone carries with unnatural force — like a lion’s roar rolling across mountains, impossible to ignore.

It is currently sealed in the Shen Family Vault.

Properties

The horn can be sounded 1/long rest. Well you can sound it as much as you like, but it only the effects are limited to once per long rest.

Terrifying Resound. When the horn is blown, every enemy within 1,200 feet must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they are frightened for 1 minute. On success, they are immune to that horn’s call for the next 24 hours.

Battlefield Recognition. Any creature who hears the horn knows immediately who it belongs to. The sound of the Silver Roar is infamous across Lin and the Lelien Empire and enemies that recognize it may break morale without a fight.

Rallying Cry. Every ally within the horn’s range receives a +1 bonus to all skill checks, saving throws, attack rolls, and damage rolls for 1 hour after hearing it.

Upgrades (Awakened)

Lion’s Dominion. The range of the horn expands to 1 mile. All allies who hear it gain advantage on saving throws against fear and charm for 10 minutes.

Breaking the Spirit. Enemies who fail their save also take 6d8 psychic damage, as the roar shakes their very will to resist.

Legacy of Command. Once per day, the horn can be blown to immediately end any ongoing fear or charm effects on allies within range. This effect is independent of the other uses of the horn.

Lore

The Founder’s final roar before vanishing into the snowy wilderness was said to shake the heavens themselves. That roar was caught and bound into this horn, so that the Shen could carry the terror and command of the White Lion into every battle.

It is not merely a signal horn — it is the voice of the Shen bloodline, carrying honor, fear, and command wherever its sound reaches.
