Castor Malachite
Castor Malachite was once a mortal artificer of rare genius, his name whispered in the forges and workshops of the old world. His soul now resides in a massive stone golem body — the result of an arcane ritual performed fifty years ago with the aid of Aldrenus, an old ally turned rival.
Castor embraced his new form at first, reveling in its strength and immortality, but the circumstances of the ritual left him with a deep, bitter grudge against Aldrenus. Over decades, he mastered the secret of transferring souls into other constructs, creating a loyal army of stone and metal soldiers that march at his command.
Castor’s construct body stands over ten feet tall, carved from dark, veined stone reinforced with bronze inlays. Emerald light seeps from the seams of his armor-like plating. His head is sculpted into an angular helm-like visage, with a single vertical emerald “eye” that glows brighter when he is agitated.
Cold, calculating, and obsessed with control, Castor sees living beings as fragile, temporary vessels — an opinion he applies even to himself. His manner is precise and deliberate, his voice a deep rumble that echoes like stone grinding on stone. He despises weakness, and in his view, flesh is the greatest weakness of all.
