Blade of the Wound Unspoken
Appearance
A long, thin blade with a single razor edge and a dark matte spine. The fuller is etched with hairline script that only catches light when blood is spilled.
Properties (while attuned)
- +2 Magic Weapon. You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this sword.
- Unspoken Feast. When a hit from this weapon reduces a creature to 0 hit points, you regain hit points equal to half of the damage that finishing blow dealt.
- Step Between Heartbeats (1/day). When you are hit by an attack, you may use your reaction to reduce that damage to 0 and teleport up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. (Recharges at dawn.)
- Coward’s Wound. If you Disengage or otherwise flee (GM adjudication) during an ongoing combat, the blade lashes your mind for 3d6 psychic damage. The weapon abhors retreat and punishes it.
Notes & Adjudication
- Flee can be read as taking the Disengage action or voluntarily moving to end your turn with no hostile creature within 30 ft while combat persists.
- The healing from Unspoken Feast triggers only on the blow that drops the target to 0 HP.
