History
The Society began at its current location on 1 Savile Road in Dalaran. On the evening of the founding, Freya Stark celebrated her latest novel on her expeditions to the Anauroch Desert in a local restaurant. The evening was so lively and inspiring that the wealthy guests offered to buy the venue and convert it into a "learned society promoting curiosity, discovery, and truth" led by Freya.
Initially, Ferya and her wealthy patrons broadened her search for the truth behind the collapse of the Netherese Empire. Later, the mission was expanded to other parts of Faerun and eventually across planes. The Society's signature journal was first published ten years after the founding day. The Journal highlighted the members of the Society and their achievements.
