This armor is made of pieces of thin, square or rectangular pieces of metal connected to each other with heavy leather laces and sewn onto a leather base. They are tightly fit, which doesn't leave any gaps or openings. Lamellae armor is nearly impenetrable by slashing attacks and can withstand much more pressure from piercing attacks.
