Seal of the Senarchy
The House of the Unexpected is sometimes known among afficionados of Unexpector-adjacent occult practices as the Divine Senarchy, referring to the fact that there are six primary deities in that pantheon. Six-fold symmetry is a common motif across Unexpector symbology, including the six-petaled flower on a hexagonal field that serves as the Church's most prominent emblem, known to these practitioners as the 'Seal of the Senarchy.'
Effect
For occult practitioners, the Seal of the Senarchy is thought to have potency in regards to helping the celebrant 'beat the odds' in some way, whether in the execution of the ritual itself, its effects, or in events occurring tangential to the practice (i.e. detection by canon authorities). For example, there are heterodox practices involving the use of Vyozha cartomancy to influence the flow of future events rather than merely predicting them as typical for Lyviannite rituals, but neither the potential for the desired result to come to pass nor for the result to take the form the practitioner expects is certain - the potential for unforeseen consequences is high. Thus, when performing cartomancy, the deck, shuffling box, table, and token are often decorated with prominent Seals of the Senarchy, among other occult symbolism, in the hopes of bringing down the blessing of the Gods of Irony upon the venture at hand. The Seal itself can also be used in various circle-based rituals reminiscent of Rostran Esotericist ritual sigil practices, particularly those seeking to bind, constrain, or compel the gods themselves for magical purposes.
Manifestation
LIke all magical and religious practice under the Manifold Sky, no effects have been observed from the use (or lack thereof) of the Seal of the Senarchy which would defy known physics or the correspondence principle. In truth, the Seal carries power in the social and psychological senses, as strongly presenting the seal denotes one's alignment within the broader religious landscape of the Manifold. Referring to the symbol as the 'Seal of the Senarchy,' specifically, denotes an understanding of esoteric Unexpector mysticism which, for some, borders on the heretical. Radical Unexpector organizations like the Daughters of Misfortune and canon regulators alike keep a close eye on individuals who use or speak about the symbol in certain ways, as these may indicate a break with orthodoxy requiring closer investigation. Indeed, the Wadoona Movement, despite being a Voxelia-flavored send-up of Rostran Esotericist culture, consciously avoids blasphemy by not adopting the Seal in its symbology. In more orthodox contexts, the Seal is thought to offer a degree of protection against general misfortune and the demonic entities of the Unexpector cosmology, serving both as the symbol of the Church's authority and that of the deity it serves.
Source
The Seal of the Senarchy has roots in early Unexpector history, though the six-fold geometric motif doesn't make an appearance in the lore until after the syncretizing work of Sokalyx the Learned was completed at the close of the Old Voxelian Conquest.
