Hagwood
Though they resemble the larger Havenwood trees, Hagwood trees possess none of the corresponding magical effects, other than their fecundity. They are quick-growing trees that form massive root systems and thrive in even the most brackish saltwater. Interlaced Hagwood copses form the base of most of the Root Wilds outside of Havenwood groves.
Some elves believe that the Hagwood species was crafted by ancient hags, as a precursor to their creation of Havenwood. The covens do make use of their gray wood and poisonous fruit in some of their rituals and macabre creations.
