The Destruction and Shattering of the world

Era beginning/end

An Enormous Explosion of unknown origin occurred Ending the great war and shattering the world.

As the war was progressing for a 1000 years now Kingdoms were more desperate then ever to find an end to it and win in this conflict by any means necessary. Crafting Magical weapons capable of manipulating large amount magic drawn from the worlds very core were soon invented. Yet disturbing the world's Magic Veins had drastic consequences. The Magic was too immense to be controlled and it went out of control turning the entire worlds magic fabric which is maintained by the goddess of magic to go wild and caused the very land of the world the shatter. The Entire surface was poisoned by the wild magic making it unlivable for any living being. But over time the magic imbued itself into rocks making a new type of ore that was never before seen. The Aether ore. With this new ore Shatter Parts of the land were able to float up into the sky away from the poisonous land and it was there where the new Civilization began away form the surface.
