Pallina (palˈli.na)

The Pallina are a race of wildcats that live in the dark, generally in the forested mountains of the Pallina Tribes. They are normally nocturnal but those who travel outside of their homeland will usually adapt to better fit in with the rest of society. However, living in the light never becomes natural leading to a stressful life and often to them moving back to the tribes.   Most of the Pallina's societies are matriarchal societies where the males leave the tribe as they come of age and roam individually between tribal areas. This leads to a very dynamic nature of the tribes as there is no rules that are followed. If a female Pallina is ready, she will go to the outskirts of the tribes to find a suitable mate, and then either chooses to take her litter back to the original tribe, to the tribe of the male Pallina, or start her own tribe with her litter. There is no single known authority on which tribes exist.

Pallina

The Pallina represent predation and hunting, especially during the nighttime. They are especially good at scouting ahead and covering tracks behind due to their affinity to nature. While they don’t seek out power, once they have a goal in mind, they are ruthless in how they achieve that goal and don't accept any other way for an answer.

You don’t add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.   Climbing: Your claws are sharp which allows you to climb with a speed of 20 feet.   Jumping: Whenever you make a long or high jump, you can roll a d8 and add the number to the number of feet you cover, even when making a standing jump. Basic Information

Anatomy

The Pallina are a race of Wildcats. Generally those to the west of the Settentrionale Mountains and Meridionale Mountains are closer to European Wildcats and those to the east are closer to African Wildcats, however, there is so much in fighting and changes to the tribes that this is not a hard or fast rule.

Their fur is coloured and can be patterned in various ways. Common colours are white, black grey and orange, but many other colours also exist. Common patterns found are spots, stripes and circles, and their bellies are often a different colour. Their fur is normally on the shorter side, especially since shorter fur helps hide their precense when hunting prey or when they are being hunted.   They are generally smaller creatures, averaging 3 ft in length and 2.5 ft in height with a 1.5 ft long tail. Average weight is around 15 lbs. However, their size and weight varies about 50% in each direction. They are usually long and lanky but can bulk up with specifc workout routines and diets.

Genetics and Reproduction

They have spiral penises, like ducks.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The normal food supply of the Pallina is small game that lives around them, however, Pallina that have better adapted to civilization have found diets of cooked foods complimenting meats to be just as nutritious, and often much cheaper. The larger tribes that live on arable land have also discovered this and have setup farms to help keep a consistent food supply for a larger population.
