The situation on the ground is considerably worse than we first believed. Infection rates are climbing in this county at a dangerous rate. Our estimate is that 15% of the populace here has been infected.   Another alarming statistic is the infection fatality rate. As of 0900 today, 4.8 percent of those infected in the last 30 days have died. The rate is higher among the elderly (10.3%), the very young (7.4%), and the immunocompromised (12.8%). Among those not in these categories, the fatality rate is much lower (1.8%).   We highly recommend taking the following actions:   - Establish a perimeter around the county
- Restrict all travel to and from the county
- Bring in governmental forces and enforce a stay-at-home order
  While these may seem draconian, if this virus gets established in the wild, it could have global consequences.   Taylor Ronque
