Windheart
Cheveyo of the Four Directions Windheart (a.k.a. Chinook)
Windheart is one of the four tricksters with a heartbeat. He's not fully in any world, but his sapience is with the winds, of which he has some influence and power over.
Lacking a true physical form, his body is the wind. He can sometimes be seen in a strong gust, a wispy whiteness in the vague form of a man streaking through the grass.
Unlike his sibling the Fire Cheveyo, Windheart doesn't seem to have any malice against the Makkah Nation, just roams the grasslands aimlessly. He's generally ignored by spirits and humans alike, not hated but not loved. However, it's said if you know the drumbeat of his heartbeat and whisper his name in the four directions he'll come in the next gust of wind and grant you a wind's favor.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
He's very fast, doesn't run out of breath.
Body Features
On still, windless nights he takes more of physical form, his edges blurred and misty, but his torso and face that of a man's. He has dark skin and long black hair, a face crinkled with both sadness and laughter, and trickster-pale eyes smooth and glossy as river stones.
Physical quirks
If he's not running, he's slouching.
Special abilities
Because he has the winds' heartbeat, he has influence over wind spirits. He doesn't bind wind spirits, as humans do, but befriends them and asks for the occasional help, and some answer.
Specialized Equipment
He carries a bow and four arrows. The arrows are fletched with eagle feathers, each stained different colors and representing a different direction. White for north, yellow for east, red for south, and black for west.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Originally he didn't have a heartbeat, was just another trickster causing trouble. But being a cheveyo--a trickster with a human, not animal, form--made him an outcast of his own kind. According to legends, his penchant for mischief shriveled in his loneliness, and he took to traveling the grasslands, his sole companion the wind itself. He spent so much time with the winds that they fell in love and merged into one. The winds gave him her heartbeat, and he became known as Windheart. He hasn't been lonely since.

Mental Trauma
Like all tricksters, his mind is broken, but perhaps the wind has helped healed parts of his mind, cleared away some fog . . .
He's been terrified of dying ever since the Mountain Spirit killed his sibling the Earth Cheveyo.
Intellectual Characteristics
He has an excellent sense of direction.
Morality & Philosophy
If you're nice to him, he'll be nice to you.
Taboos
No leaving the grasslands. Well, maybe venture out over the sea sometimes, and maybe go up to join the rain dance with the Storm Spirit's servants during a tempest, but never, never ever cross over to the western mountains. Grass is best.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Protect his remaining siblings, make sure they aren't killed. He has particular struggle with the Fire Cheveyo.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
He's good at shooting and running as the wind.
Bad at talking with wind spirits.
Likes & Dislikes
He likes the grasslands, hates the mountains. He actually likes heartbeat creatures, doesn't hate them as his kind do.
Virtues & Personality perks
He's trying his best.
Vices & Personality flaws
He's a bad leader.
Hygiene
He smells like the wind through grass, sweet and fresh.
Social
Contacts & Relations
The Storm Spirit keeps trying to befriend Windheart but he doesn't trust the High Spirits. Still, Windheart can't help but be drawn in to the wild dances and celebrations the Storm Spirit hosts.
Family Ties
He has three other siblings, two still alive. The Fire Cheveyo doesn't like him, but he and the Water Cheveyo visit pretty frequently.
Social Aptitude
Introverted, not much confidence and zero charisma, but he is very polite.
Hobbies & Pets
Wild foals like him, and he likes them. When mares have no more patience for their babies, Windheart will play with them until they run themselves into exhaustion. That's around when the stallions run him off.
