Apollo

Sunblasted by Helios, Apollo was remade in a much more utilitarian fashion than the other planets of the solar system.   It was remade, or carved apart depending on how you look at it, so as to harness the suns massive energetic output. From orbit, massive esoteric lines criss-cross the surface, laid out in arcane symbols and gestures. Even to this day, those lines take in Solar energy, filling with golden light that travels deep below the planets surface. Do not stand within the solar canyons if you value your life.   Under the surface, there are massive caverns carved out, connected by tunnels, that once provided a home to the energy workers of the planet, but now act as the only real safehaven against the heat and a place where green can grow, even on that rock.
