Personal history
Aeo was the son of shepard. As a young man, he liked to hunt and travel the hills. One day, as he was out hunting, he shot one of Parrion's boars. The god was angered and sent a pack of wolves to devour the mortal's sheep. In order to protect his sheep, Aeo used the blood from a ewe that had given birth, which he smeared on the nearby tree trunks. The smell disoriented the wolves, and he used it to lead them into a trap and killed the wolves. Parrion then cursed the grass in his pastures to poisen the sheep, but by then, the god Idar had seen what was happening, and was impressed by Aeo's quick wit, so he planted an herb in the pastures that could cure the sheep of poisen, and watched to see if Aeo could learn what the herb was for. Soon enough, he did, and dedicated it to Idar, naming it Idarith. Idar then appeared to him, and told him if Aeo fought for the Avar against the Misi, he would rule the Avarish people as their king, and would be blessed by the gods. Aeo did not beleive him at first, so he consulted the stars, and found they haralded good luck. Soon after, he went to war. He earned a reputation for daring stratagies, and gained the loyalty of many warriors. During this time, he was also wedded to Mara, a descendent of the House of Thendore, though by this time they had fallen out of power. Soon enough, other Avarish tribes flocked to his banner, and he made the cheifs a part of his council. Aeo and Mara had three daughters and a son.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Aeo gained renown among his people for his time as a soldier, in which he once tricked the enemy into beleiving there were more soldiers than there were, by having his men hold two torches each, and stampeding riderless horses in order to appear like a larger force.
Once, while captured by Misi warriors, Idar struck him with an illness, which he carried to his captures, killing them all in their camp. He recovered easily from the illness using Idarith leaves, and escaped with the enemies supplies.
Intellectual Characteristics
Aeo was known to be clever and wiley. In war, he looked for ways to deprive his enemy of their resources, rather than defeat them in battle. Often, he sent spies to poisen water supplies, or stampede horses. He was also known to plant diseases among the ranks of the enemy, often by means of an infected item taken as a prize.
