    the Creation of the Warforged
    Scientific achievement

During the Mage Rebellion, one bright woman introduced her life's work to the rebel mages, who's armies were small and recuitment proved difficult. Her solution? These automatons were largely unaware; simple creations able to follow basic orders and perform tasks. Some were controlled more directly by their creators through remote, mental control. Fewer still were actually granted sentience, though it is unknown if this was accidental or intentional on the behalf of the makers of the machines.
