Moving Night
Shadows on the Horizons
The most common sign of the oncoming sandstorm is the darkening of the horizon. Where typical sandstorms create a wall of sand, the dark coloring of the Moving Night creates the illusion of a shadow being cast over the lands and skies. Some more superstitious tribes see this as the shadow of the demon lords that rule the night, and their cast shadow spawns more demon kind.Dangers of the Storm
The obsidian flakes can rend wounds into exposed flesh, and the sand causes discomfort when caught in the crevices of cloth or armor. Demons, whose hide is too thick to be sliced by slivers of glass, stalk the darkness it causes. This false night allows them to prowl at all hours so long as they follow its path. Those cut by the storm often feel a lingering stinging sensation as their bodies gradually push out the smallest stinging slivers of glass… though some are unfortunate to have their bodies heal with the stinging shard embedded within.
Localization
The Moving Night is characteristic of the deserts of Noctuin, and less frequently the surrounding biomes, from the mountains to the savannas. Though these storms can reach far, they always originate in the deserts, where it picks up fine black sand and flakes of obsidian from the Vi’Rok foothills.
