The Great Spirits

To some referred as gods, the 7 Great Spirits watch over the world.

Their influence creates the flow of energy surging throughout Luveri. Their power functions as a shield for the world, keeping out the disruptive void energy. Despite many beliefs however, they are not of divine nature not do they have a will of their own. The spirits can be more understood as a natural force itself, fuelling Luveri.

In accordance their energy is not unlimited.. they can't be destroyed or die but every few hundred years they fall into an equally long slumber, to regain the energy to maintain the shield. While it does stay active it's effectiveness is heavily weakened, allowing spirits and other creatures from outside the worlds bounds to creep inside. This time of slumber is also known as the Era of Dream.
The Spirits dream can be shortened through mortal sacrifice. Willing or not, absorbing a mortals life force greatly replenishes the great spirits energy enough for them to awaken only 100 years later. However all the 7 Spirits are linked, thus they also have to awaken all at the same time.

Once awakened the Era of Dawn starts and the shield grows back in strength driving out the invading forces.

Lesser Spirits

In a way less powerful and less influential Spirits akin to the Great ones in appearance, but their creation varies heavily.
