Gnissel (gnɪsəl)
Describe a predator in your setting with an unusual killing method.
This creature uses spines on its back to create a loud screeching noise. This noise bounces off of distant objects, giving nearby creatures the illusion that the gnissel is near. This is intended to scare the creature and make in run towards the gnissel, then the gnissel ambushes the creature. The gnissel often climbs trees to assist in its ambush.
