Kaiser

The Head of State for Steinwalderland. This position is born into, and cannot be removed from the throne legally. Their powers are great, but limited by the Council of Steinwalderland. They resides in "Schloss Helden", the Central castle in Hafenstadt. The title of Kaiser can only be held men, but if a female were to become leader she would be known as Kaiserin. The title is handed down to the first born son who can pass a series of trails known as "Der Kaiserprozess" (Note the name stays the same regardless of gender). If the first born son cannot pass these trials then it moves on to the next born child, unless there was an older sister, in which case she would take on the trials. Eg. If a king had 4 children, the oldest a daughter, and two younger sons, if the first born son failed the trials, the daughter would attempt the trials, if she fails, then the third child. If all children fail by the time of the Kaiser(in)s death, then it is passed on to the nearest brother, if no brother, then sister, if no sister, then Uncle, if no uncle then Aunt, if no aunt, then first born male cousin.
