History & Usage

History

Elves have been known to make the most use out of bronzewood. It is native to their homelands and most cultures do not have the magic or skills necessary to work with it. Parts of the longboats the Elves used to migrate to Embrosia were made of enormous Bronzetree trunks. Back on native soil they grew much more proud then they can here.

Everyday use

The elves have a variety of uses for it from architechture to art. Although the world at large is mostly concered with its applications in weapons and other magical devices.

Cultural Significance and Usage

It is considered an honerable trade to work with the bronzewood, mostly a trade passed down generations between wood elves. It is a piece of their shared heratige and a reminder of their abandoned home. It is treated with great respect and imbewes a signifigant cultural and monetary value on anything it is made out of.

Manufacturing & Products

Products made from it have a tendency to be more receptive to magical enchantments, a glaive with a handle of bronzewood would be more durable then that of normal wood, but it would also be easier to enchant such a weapon. Wands made of it can also be used as druidic focuses.

Distribution

Trade & Market

The material itself is rarely traded, usually only products that contain it or are made of it are traded. And even that that happens vary rarely as Elven culture is not keen on sharing the secrets and materials of their homeland to outsiders.
