History
In the Elder Age, a small nation of humans was the first group to discover Amelior, before them the customrace kept the materials power to themselves. They worshiped it like a divine force and spoke of a great creature floating in the Nexa who they also worshipped. The human nation used the power of Amelior to almost conquer the entirety of Embrosia and became what is now known as the Gilded Empire.
Discovery
The first humans to use it stole the secrets of Amelior from the customrace many centuries ago. It has now been rediscovered by factions and adventurers pillaging the remains of the Gilded Empire and continues to be a legendary material which is highly sought after.

Note For GM
Amelior should be viewed as a storytelling tool more so then a mechanical tool. It is something that can raise the stakes of a fight, be a form of mutually assured self-destruction, a complete gambit, or anything in-between. It's use should never be without consequence but regardless its effects should be pronounced. Ask the player what their goal is and find a way to "monkey's paw" it, don't make the punishment so severe so that they never will use Amelior, but make sure the feat comes with an adequate price.
