Session 27 - The End of the Serpent Witch

The figure with the sword flies away. Lots of little creatures at the base of the tree, which is surrounded by a stream. Lots of ribbits, which are quite loud. Tangled balls of yarn are hanging from the tree.   Vadim is disgusted by contact with the frog people, who are slimy and warty.   The Forest Prince approaches with his wolves. He asks Vasilii : “How dare you?!? Who are you and why are you here?”   Vasilii offers the Forest Prince a pair of socks (which were somehow completed without Vasilii's knowledge), which he grudgingly accepts, and moves off with his wolves.   Soon after this, we run into the The Serpent-Witch, and Vasilii approaches her. She seems not to remember us, and says she is heading west to Laima , which is a temple complex dedicated to Mokosh by another name. A woman and a man - Dobromila and Velesav - accompany her.   Egged on by Hrefna especially, we decide to attack the Serpent-Witch and her party. The male is a bear shapeshifter. We win this battle, which was fierce. All three of the Serpent-Witch party are killed. Vadim cuts off the Serpent-Witch's head, just to be sure, or maybe just out of spite. He received second degree burns on his leg in this fierce battle.   No one is surprised to discover that the Serpent-Witch has considerable money on her person. We take the money. Vasilii or Vladimir also claim a magical cudgel from the defeated foes.   As we return, we have to walk along the pond from before, and also cut our way through the brambles. We catch glimpses of the island, but the red tent is gone. Further on down, the the wall of brambles around the houses of the upyrs has been fully resotred.
