Stillwater Penitentiary

The Stillwater Penitentiary is the Maximum Security prison of the city of Noxtton, being housed in an island off the coast of Imp Island and Downtown. It has housed some of the most notorious criminals in the history of the city and even some internationally famous as well.    

History:

  The island is named after Abraham Stillwater, a Dutch settler who moved to South Warren in 1638 and took possession of the island in 1664. Stillwater's descendants, owned the Island until 1821, when it was sold to the city for $180,000, after the death of the head of the family Bruce Stillwater, under mysterious circumstances. During the Civil War it housed several Confederate spies that tried to desestabilize the city and prepare it for an invasion by Robert E. Lee, which Gettysburg and the city prevented it.

During the early 20th century it housed a number of criminals that are as famous as the city. Names such as Lucky Lucciano, and the Five Families come to mind, as they were at the height of their power, having created the Comission and helping the US invade Italy.
