Humans arrived on Lugeste untold thousands of years ago, suggesting that it was at some point either part of a larger continent, or that there was a land bridge. "Aajin" and "Wujin" were terms coined by the Dalmalak, as the two groups only became distinct within the past century. Humans of the Domain of Euphemia, or "Aajin" as they are widely known, have lost their inherent connection to fire after generations of Pyromancy being outlawed within the city. They're seldom seen outside of their precious basalt walls, and the echoes of 1813 are still fresh in the minds of Central Lugeste's other races.
"Wujin" represent humans who are born outside of the Domain of Euphemia. Although they're encountered most often in the Euphemian Wastes, where they have since reestablished villages and other smaller settlements, it isn't uncommon to find at least a small number of them just about anywhere. There are no unifying Wujin traits, aside from the inate ability to use Pyromancy.
Both Aajin and Wujin receive the following benefits.
Size & Type - Humans are medium humanoids with the "Human" subtype.
Base Movement Speed - Humans have a base speed of 30 feet.
Languages - Humans speak Lugessan in addition to a language granted by their subspecies.
Protean - Humans one extra feat at 1st level. Additionally, they gain an additional skill rank at 1st level, and every level thereafter.
Indomitable Will- Once in a human's lifetime, if they would die, they instead rise to their feet at half of their total HP.
Playing as Aajin
"You are a proud human of the Domain of Euphemia. Although your nation was once the height of civilization, a crushing defeat ended a war of conquest and left the land reeling from national embarassment. Do you stand behind these atrocities and support your Empress, or quietly bear the burden of shame that comes with being a Euphemian?"
Ability Score Modifiers - The Domain of Euphemia has a surprisingly rigorous public schooling program, but those who slip through the cracks often make a living by bullshitting the everyman. They gain +2 DEX. Additionally, they gain +2 INT or +2 CHA.

Playing as Wujin

Ability Score Increase - Wujin are hardy owing to their time in the wastes, and those who aren't strong enough to fell the beasts that they share living space with are wary enough to avoid them. They gain +2 CON. Additionally, they gain +2 STR or +2 WIS.
Pyromantic Talent - Wujin learn one Pyromancy cantrip. Additionally, they gain a 1st-level Pyromancy that they may cast once between long or short rests, unless they possess spell points, in which case it may be used like any other spell.
