Egeus embodies the endless riches hidden within the earth not only in gold and gems but in the ingenuity and labor required to unearth and shape them. He teaches that fortune favors those willing to dig deep, work hard, and shape the world with their own hands.  

Symbol and Depiction

  Symbol: A stylized mole with claws outstretched over a mountain filled with jewels.
Depiction: Egeus is portrayed as an immense mole with gleaming sharp claws, powerful enough to burrow through solid stone. In art, he is often shown diving into rich earth, leaving veins of gems and precious ores in his wake.  

Beliefs and Values

  Followers of Egeus hold hard work, creativity, and determined exploration as sacred virtues. They believe that the act of seeking of tirelessly digging and striving brings one closer to Egeus’ favor. Exploration is central to their faith, but not exploration of distant lands: exploration of the hidden treasures within the earth, and of their own ability to create wonders from raw materials.   “The true riches lie where only the worthy dare to dig.”  

Temples and Worship

  Temples to Egeus are found deep beneath the surface, within the sprawling underground cities of the Egea Mountains. Each temple is carved from living rock and adorned with statues of moles and intricate stonework crafted by master artisans.   Before beginning any great work such as a mining expedition, a construction project, or a grand sculpture followers traditionally offer a precious mineral at the feet of Egeus' statue, seeking his blessing to find new treasures.  

Legends and Tales

  It is said that the earth itself hides countless pockets of unimaginable wealth secret caches placed there by Egeus as gifts for those who follow his teachings. Discovering one is seen as a profound sign of divine favor.  

Mysteries

  There remains an enduring mystery among his faithful: How deep does the world truly go? As Egeus burrows endlessly in the unseen depths, some believe that vast and undiscovered realms still lie below untouched by mortal hands and waiting for those bold enough to dig beyond all known limits.
