Darric

the Tempest Wolf, Scourge of the Skies

Domains and Aspects

  • Air
  • Tempest and Storm
  • Defiance and Self-Assertion
  • Freedom of Identity

  • Darric represents the storm within the unstoppable force that refuses to yield, conform, or apologize. He teaches that the world does not offer peace freely; it must be fought for. To live under Darric is to claim your space in a world that may try to erase you.

    Symbol and Depiction

Symbol: A snarling wolf outlined in stormclouds, with lightning crackling in its eyes.
Depiction: Darric is envisioned as a towering, ash-grey wolf streaked with bolts of lightning along his fur. His eyes glow like twin storms, and winds howl in his wake. His form shifts with the wind, sometimes solid, sometimes cloud and thunder given shape.

    Beliefs and Values

Followers of Darric believe in being wholly and unapologetically themselves, no matter how the world reacts. They see strength not just in battle, but in conviction. To them, Darric’s blessing comes not from obedience, but from defiance.   They are revolutionaries, misfits, and exiles, people who refuse to conform. They believe in the right to survive on their own terms, even if it means living on the edge of civilization.   “If the world would silence your howl, make the storm sing it louder.”

    Temples and Worship

There are no formal temples to Darric. Worship lives in the traditions of scattered forest tribes within the Darri Forest, a wild and dangerous place believed to still echo with Darric’s power. Each tribe possesses a relic, a bone, a fang, or a claw, believed to be connected to the god. Before or after battle, the relic is anointed with blood, symbolizing a personal stand against the world and a tribute to Darric’s doctrine: fight for your place.

    Legends and Tales

It is said that Darric has never forgiven his imprisonment. Whenever violent storms ravage the land, it is believed to be his fury unleashed upon the world for disrespect or disobedience. Travelers whisper that speaking ill of Darric during a storm is dangerous, for the wind itself may carry your words straight to his ears.

    Mysteries

Though long imprisoned, Darric’s influence is still felt, in windstorms, uprisings, and moments of rebellion. Some wonder if Darric is not truly bound like the others, but rather allowed to roam, unseen, as a test of who will break free and who will bow.
