Hollowmen

They inhabit old ruins and piles of formless rock and rubble. Though the hollowmen may appear human, not a sliver of their selves—their souls, their presence, wants and fears—remain. They move about, though what pulls them no one knows, and repeat actions and rituals which their peoples might have done in life. Ever watchful over their territories, they become hostile to anything warm and living passing into their lands.

The hollowmen may appear human, at first glance. Perhaps once they were. Now they are husks, wandering about alone or in groups. The Merientei believe they inhabit the lands they once did in life, and many stories of the mountain-dwelling Azēgo people would concur, as the living husks seem more numerous around ancient ruins predating civilizations.
