Kerrigan Matthews
Kerrigan Matthews first met Jameson Argyle when they were fifteen while playing on the Benedictine Catholic High School junior varsity Football Team. It didn’t take long for the boys to figure out they were attracted to each other beyond normal friendship, and soon they were sexually experimenting behind closed doors whenever their parents weren’t around. Though wanting more from Jameson, Kerrigan understands that coming out would be disastrous for both of them. Instead, he enjoyed what he could get from Jameson until he met Jonny Atwood, who soon after became his boyfriend.

In Colors of You, Ethan St. Hilare's bold move to come out on Profile, the school's private social media network, inspires Kerrigan to attend the first meeting of the Benedictine High Inclusivity Club, quietly showing his pride with a small rainbow flag pin on his backpack strap.

Given the conservative nature of the school, Kerrigan did not come out until the events in book 4, Colors of You, and became a founding members of the Benedictine High Inclusivity Club. He later chose to attend the school's Valentine Dance with his boyfriend Jonny.
