The Realm of Etherea
The Realm of Etherea is the realm of the Ethereal Deities. This is the plane in which the Deities of Control live and run their affairs. These deities are each bound to a specific piece, in a specific world. Whether that be a country, city, land, species, world or any other attribute. Any mortally physical thing that a person can touch, there is a deity of control overseeing it one way or another.
If a deity of control is overseeing something large, like a country or continent, everything inside of it is overseen by it as well - unless that thing does not stagnantly rest inside of the area.
An example of this is:
The Overseer watches the continent of Crismalia. Nothing is watching specific pieces of Crismalia, since the Overseer holds the ability to watch all moments and aspects of it at all times (hence why ze's called the Overseer.) The Overseer also watches the citizens of Crismalia, but since they are dynamic there is another deity that controls them specifically.
Geography
The Realm of Etherea is made up of a geography that mortals could never comprehend. The Realm is not physical, since no deities can control it (being the highest of all the realms) so it is made up of all the wisdom and knowledge of all the beings in the collective. This means that the substance of the realm is completely contingent upon the existence of mortals and immortals alike. Nobody has ever seen the realm, so the geography is completely sourced by the stories of immortals to mortals.
From the stories, however, we can gather that is a large realm - filled with worlds like ours. These worlds have continents like ours and contain a vast array of "ecosystems". This is how we, as mortals, can understand this realm - but in reality the realm is completely and entirely different in its system.
Imagine explaining the idea of the Lostend'a to an ant, who doesn't even have the vocabulary to understand the existence of worlds - nor does it have the experience to understand what can exist out there. This is what explaining the Realm of Etherea to mortals is like. We can only understand the realm in our terms - when in reality our minds are too sectioned to make sense of anything that septadimensional beings experience.
History
All we know of the history of the Realm of Etherea is that it is has existed for 40 million years and has created all other realms from it.
