Code of the Golden Sun

In its complete form, this is a very hefty tome the retells all significant events in world history, as told by various prophets of The Golden God. The first section is completely dedicated to those who tell of the deity themselves.   The second, and most extensive, section of the book is a list of retellings of noble deeds by virtuous people in the past. Some debate if all the stories in this section are historically factual, while others debate if that even matters. Each story is memorised as each gives a piece of the puzzle on how to be a good person.   The third section is usually also the excerpt carried around by clerics and paladins of the god of the Sun. It has direct commandments for how to handle various situations. It also has the most prominent prayers and hymns used to gain the favour of the Lawgiver. Any inconsistencies in the commandments given here are attributed to the failings of mortals to understand a god.   Most of the book is written in rhythmic prose, a hint about the older parts' oral tradition. Most written in iambic pentameter. The second section of the book is very varied in style as the stories within were added at different points in history, but all of it has a grandiose character. The last section is also varied but has more shifts in tone and style, as it depicts many ways to show reverence.
