Weaver's Knot's

In the study of Circumstance, the arrangements of the sun and moons play a critical role in many major events and undertakings. A standard set of geometric pattern positions for these three major celestial bodies relative to Lorgaire are known as the Weaver's Knot's, and their appearance in the sky has significant religious import for the goddesses Marceila and Magnild, the weavers of souls and fate, as well as for many powerful magical and historical events.   By the teachings of circumstance scholars around the world, the Weaver's Knot's positions of the moons and sun produce their effect by magnifying the flows or production of certain types of metaphysical energies. For example when the sun is occluded by Elsora the influence of one energy may be suppressed allowing for fine manipulation of its opposite, and during the equidistant positioning of the planet between Elsora, Ashwin and the sun there may be greater balance attained during sensitive enchantments.   Most interplanar gate events, and all rifts, occur during one of the Weaver's Knot's phases, and future alignments are planned for carefully. Wardings, summonings, banishment and a variety of other spell weaving simulate the knots in their ritual symbology to replicate the polarizing effects they have on the targets of the spell, and grand ritual casting for such spells are aligned with the events on high when possible to amplify their effect.   Most witch hunters are students of circumstance in part to know when to search for the dark weavers. Even enterprising farmers and herders are known to harvest their stock under the light of Weaver's Knot's to reap the benefits of auspicious circumstance. A small loaf or a jar of tallow harvested and prepared by the Orb's Accord of a full Ashwin over Elsora may garner ten or more times its regular price to the right mage or priest.   Among the Elves a cleansing of new or old territory often begin at the appearance of a Weaver's Knot in the right season, and similarly Dwarves rallying a conquests will find far greater support during one of these phases. Civilized folk are also not the only ones guided by the presence of these celestial events, with a few long lived wild beasts synchronizing their mating patterns with the convergence of the celestial spheres, and others entering a feeding frenzy when their favored fodder is enriched by a glut of magical power.
