Knud Retsmand

Backstory

Cleric recently returned from the Runeskriver Civil Academy in Stromsby. Knud was selected by the recruiters during an annual visit as the most talented prospect for civic service, and Lord Frent offered to pledge his tuition to study the law and return in service to Frent in anticipation of his current advisor's retirement. As a third child aged 15 at the time, it was seen as an elevated prospect and accepted -- his return to Frent was around a year ago.

Appearance

Young man with neatly cropped dark hair, dressed in layered silver and black robes. He wears a small golden insignia of the clerks office and a holy symbol of Tala Eldoria (Sovereign Host goddess of trade and judgement). He is rarely seen without a small leather bound notebook in which he calmly records the statements and greivances of folk who seek his advice. Part of his nature or training, he remains reserved in the face of volatile outbursts or accusations.

Motivation

Son of the potter Franklin Eigil of Frent, and recently returned to the village from his Civic sparks training to apprentice under Lawspeaker Alma who is old and frail. Knud is expected to become lawspeaker for the barony in the near future, and as a graduate of Runeskriver has the potential to strongly influence the courts representative in favor of Frent. Gaining the favor of Lord Frent on this matter could lend him more influence in future events, and for his family in their endeavors within the village.

Catchphrases
