Jesper Frugtmand

Backstory

Rogue suspected in many dissapearances of valuables across Frent. Jesper is prone to wandering when he is trying to get out of work and has the misfortune of often being seen in the area when things go missing or secrets become revealed at inopportune moments. Fortunately he always has a clever explanation for why it couldn't have been him.

Appearance

A short pudgy young man, with scruffy brown hair going very thin on top. He wears a loose leather jacket with bulges in several pockets that he claims are "just apples". If an accuser persists he can always turn out a few walnuts or a bruised piece of fruit to prove his innocence. He bears an expression of curiosity, ready to peek through an unattended window or doorway, or offense at the idea of being drawn into some chore.

Motivation

Nephew of the orchard keeper Yeoman Ottilia of Notsby; born to her brother who was lost in battle when Jesper was small, and raised with his many cousins. He has never been eager to put in long hours in the sprawling orchards tended by his family, and would much prefer to sit back and live comfortably off the profits from the labors of others if he could secure the funds to build a brewery or cidery. Revealing the secrets of what Grisen is up to and polishing up his reputation could help Jesper secure the rest of the funds he needs to start his venture.

Catchphrases

"Life is Short, Drink Good Cider." Expressing both a desire for finer things in life and a dismissal of tedious work.

"Applesauce and Mischief." Jesper's go-to response for "what are you up to?" with his friends or conspiritors to express a desire for ease and entertainment.
